About this site:
This is the third incarnation of pretty much the same review site. We started off as Yet Another review site, which was a wild success, and considered one of the best review sites on diaryland. Like most other review sites, YA disintigrated. Fuckin' Ugly was the second incarnation, focusing entirely on design. It was a fun site to maintain, and the people asking for reviews had a tendancy to be genuinely interested in tips and advice, rather than just wanting to add points to their links page.
This site is a no-nonsense approach to diary reviews. We keep an open mind, and expect you to do the same. We don't have a rigid set of expectations, but we will give you a straight up review of your site. We aren't snobs, bitches, assholes, or lookin' for love. We're interested in giving you honest feedback on your site: what works, what doesn't, and why we like or dislike it. We'll probably give you a few tips and ideas that may help you improve in areas we think you might be lacking. We will not plug beautify. Ever.
We expect you to be mature. The first thing we want you to remember is that you request a review. We will never knowingly review a site without the owner's request. Familiarize yourself with what we'll be looking for. Read our f.g.w. page. Read about our review process. Understand and follow our few but important rules.
About the reviewer:
There's only one of us at present. I originally created Yet Another review site as a way of finding the really awesome diaries on diaryland. It was a completely selfish endeavor. It's secondary purpose was to provide a review site that reviewed the way I would want my own site to be reviewed. With the first site, I was loathe to reveal my identity or link my own site, because I have seen bunches of reviewers use their review site as a plug to their own diaries. Additionally, I don't want to encourage reviewees to look at my site, or comment or anything like that simply to get in good with me. That said, though, it struck me as somewhat cowardly to deny readers the chance to see my own site since I'll be reviewing theirs.

It's free to play, the only rule is that you have a diary/journal/blog somewhere online. Please note: the contest is in NO WAY affiliated with this site. I'm just plugging it.
